Welcome to the National High School BBQ Association® (NHSBBQA®) — the school-based youth barbecue organization built to serve students, educators, and communities through live fire cooking, Career & Technical Education (CTE), and competition.
We are the institutional hub for:
HSBBQ (High School BBQ)
MSBBQ (Middle School BBQ)
KidsQue (youth BBQ awareness + entry-level discovery)
Junior Pitmaster (student identity + skill progression + recognition)
If you’re looking for official school teams, campus-based events, educator-led programs, and a real pipeline, you’re in the right place.
Choose your path:
I’m a School/District Administrator → Bring HSBBQ/MSBBQ to our campuses
I’m a Teacher/Coach → Start a team + run an approved program
I’m a Parent/Student → Find a team, join a pathway, earn recognition
I’m a Sponsor/Partner → Fund student impact + activate with schools
I’m a State Director → Build a state association under NHSBBQA®

Many youth cooking experiences exist. Most are festival-based or community-based.
NHSBBQA® is different:
School-based (campus-centered) events and teams
Educator-led program delivery
CTE-aligned learning outcomes (culinary, ag, food science, welding/ag mechanics, business)
Structured progression from beginner to championship competition
Governance, safety, standards, and scoring designed for schools
If a program isn’t built for campuses, it won’t scale across districts.
NHSBBQA® is built to scale.
NHSBBQA® is the hub — these brands and domains serve specific roles in the pipeline.
