The Board of Directors of the NHSBBQA Education Foundation provides independent governance, fiduciary oversight, and strategic leadership to ensure the Foundation fulfills its charitable and educational mission.
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Foundation’s Board is responsible for safeguarding charitable assets, maintaining compliance with nonprofit law, and ensuring that scholarships and educational awards are administered with fairness, integrity, and transparency.
The Board of Directors is responsible for:
Upholding the Foundation’s charitable mission and values
Ensuring compliance with federal and state nonprofit regulations
Providing financial oversight and stewardship of charitable funds
Approving scholarship policies, governance frameworks, and internal controls
Supporting long-term sustainability and educational impact
The Board operates independently and in the best interest of the Foundation and the students it serves.
A majority of Board members are independent, with experience across education, nonprofit governance, finance, law, workforce development, and industry.
Board members serve without compensation and are expected to act with the highest standards of care, loyalty, and ethical responsibility.

While NHSBBQA® operates educational programming and competitions, all charitable funds, scholarships, and awards are governed and administered solely by the Foundation under Board oversight.
